My practice seeks to capture memory of the place, and the sense of energy and emotion of the moment.
In the studio I work from my own sketches, collected on various trips around the country, especially in coastal areas, or closer to home in my own garden.
The textural qualities of whichever medium I chose to use are very important to me, an aspect which links my prints, painting and ceramic work. Each medium has the potential to express the light, colour, shapes and patterns of the world around me, in different ways.
