My art classes are held in Margaretting, Writtle and Broomfield in Essex
No forms - no exams - no stress!
The two-hour classes are run during school term times, and students enrol by the term.
Adults of all abilities, from complete beginners to the more experienced, are welcome to join any of the classes, so that when topics are presented to the class, each individual can work within the range of their own ability, and advice or tuition is then offered on a one to one basis. This enables each student to grow in confidence and improve their skills, no matter at what level he or she starts.
Students provide their own materials.
Please note that a place in any class is only secured once payment has been received and acknowledged with a receipt.
These classes cover the basics of painting with watercolour, and are aimed primarily at beginners, or those with some experience in the medium, who would like the opportunity to take their skills a little further, or to brush up on their technique.
Held at Margaretting Village Hall, (Chelmer Room) on Tuesday mornings, from 10.00am to 12,00.
A model is provided each week. The class usually starts with a few warm up exercises, followed by one or two longer poses. One to one tuition/advice/support is given throughout. Students are free to use whatever medium they please, except oils (water mixable oils are acceptable). A lightweight easel is useful, but not essential.
Classes are held at the Writtle Village Hall, on Wednesday mornings from 10.00am to 12.00.
The Tuesday Afternoon Class and Thursday Morning Class follow the format which has proved so successful in the past, that is, with the 12 week term divided into four 3-week projects or subjects. The projects will be selected by a vote among the students themselves, which leads to a wide variety of subjects, mediums and techniques to enjoy.
The Tuesday Afternoon Class will be held at Margaretting village Hall, from 2.00pm to 4.00pm.
The Thursday Morning Class will be held at Margaretting village Hall, from 10.00am to 12.00.
Occasional one-day workshops are offered, usually one or two a term. Students are required to bring their own materials and a lunch, but refreshments are included. Information will be shown on the 'News' page, when available.
